Installation Statement
The rocks, tables, and bowls are an invitation to blur the line between
artist and viewer.
If a painting names or witnesses something for you, please move a rock
under the work to mark this relationship. If the connection calls for
more then one rock, please move many. Let the depth of the witnessing
indicate how many rocks are moved and where they are placed (on the table,
in the bowl, both).
The rocks you choose to move can originate from the center container, or
if there is a relationship between two paintings for you, the rocks can be
taken from one work and moved to another.
Please feel free to move rocks from under paintings that you did not place
there.
Thank you for engaging with the art and continuing the dialogue. In the
spirit of the metaphorical sheepcard, may this installation let many
personal fibers be untangled, freed and aligned. |
